What’s involved in a Stroke Support Group?
Our Stroke Support Groups are safe, friendly spaces where stroke survivors, people with aphasia, and their families can come together to connect, share experiences and support one another. Whether meeting in person across Gloucestershire or online from the comfort of home, our groups offer a welcoming circle of understanding, where laughter, conversation, and mutual support help rebuild confidence and reduce isolation. Led by a team member and volunteers, the groups are shaped by lived experience, these sessions are about more than recovery, they’re about belonging.
We offer a range of in-person and online groups across Gloucestershire. All groups are welcoming, peer-led, and held in safe, accessible spaces. All groups are free to attend and open to stroke survivors, people with aphasia, and their families.
Carers are welcome at all our groups.
